If your desktop DPI scale is different from the recommended (120 DPI) MaxType PRO won't work correctly and you'll be unable to use it. Please follow these simple steps to set DPI to recommended value and enjoy MaxType in the way as it was designed.
Windows 7
1. Right click the desktop. You will the a popup menu. Select the 'Personalize' option.
2. A 'Personalization' window will be shown. Please click the 'Display' link under 'See also' section in the bottom left corner.
3. Please set 'Medium - 125% (default)' option and click the button 'Apply'. You need to log off the user and then log on the user again for the changes to take effect.
Windows Vista
1. In Control Panel, click Appearance And Personalization.
2. Under the Display heading, click Make Text And Other Items Larger Or Smaller.
3. The default scaling options allow you to choose a 100-percent scale (the default), a 125-percent scale, or a 150-percent scale. Please choose the '125-percent scale' option.
4. You need to log off the user and then log on the user again for the changes to take effect.
Windows XP / 2000 / ME / 98
1. Right click the desktop. You will the a popup menu. Select the 'Properties' option.
2. You will see the 'Display Properties' window. Click the 'Settings' tab.
3. Click the 'Advanced' button. Set 'DPI' combobox value to 'Large size (120 DPI)'.
4. Click the button 'Apply'. You need to log off the user and then log on the user again for the changes to take effect.
Anytime you need you can use this instruction to restore DPI desktop scale to the value that suits you best.
